Krummendeich ( Low German Krummendiek ) is a municipality in the Stade district in Lower Saxony .
The municipality belongs to the combined municipality of Nordkehdingen , which has its administrative seat in the municipality of Freiburg / Elbe . The place is on the German ferry route .
Krummendeich still shows the form of a row village today . House by house stands on the dike defense path of the old Elbe dike . The place has an agricultural structure. Krummendeich is known for its natural swimming pool, which uses an area of water that was created when a dyke broke in 1825.
