The Hohenfelde Baggersee is a nature reserve in the Schleswig-Holstein community of Hohenfelde in the Steinburg district .
The approximately 22.1 hectare nature reserve is registered under number 111 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitization . It was expelled at the end of 1985 (date of regulation: 23 December 1985). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Steinburg district.
The nature reserve is located between Elmshorn and Itzehoe, south-west of the federal highway 23 near Hohenfelde. It places a former, renatured gravel pit under protection. Trees are growing on the banks of the gravel pit. The nature reserve is completely surrounded by agricultural land . The Büchsenwall cultural monument is located in the immediate vicinity of the nature reserve . The route of the planned federal motorway 20 runs slightly south of the nature reserve.
