Stefan Bolln

Stefan Bolln (born September 4, 1970 in Itzehoe ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein from 2016 to 2017 .

Life, job and volunteering

After graduating from school, Bolln trained as a chimney sweep from 1989 to 1992 . Working as a journeyman from 1992 , he passed the master craftsman's examination in 1996 and then attended further training in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology from 1997 to 2000. As early as 1998, Bolln became honorary state chairman of the chimney sweep union in Schleswig-Holstein. In 2003 he passed the examination to become an energy consultant at the Hanover Chamber of Crafts and in the same year became an honorary labor judge at the Elmshorn Labor Court , an activity that he carried out until 2013. From 2005 to 2011 Bolln was a member of the executive board of the Chimney Sweepers Union and from 2006 was responsible for the administration and finance division. As a member of the federal executive board, from 2005 he was also a managing board member of the education and research institute of the union and from 2008 to 2011 managing director of the German chimney sweep publishing house. From 2009 to 2013 Bolln also worked in business consultancy for a company in Kiel . In May 2011 he started his own business consultancy and has been managing director of this company since 2013. He has been an authorized district chimney sweep since 2015.

Political volunteering

2001 Bolln joined the SPD. From 2003 to 2009 he was a member of the local executive committee of the SPD in Barmstedt and from 2003 also a member of the district executive committee of the party in the Pinneberg district (until 2007). At the suggestion of the SPD parliamentary group, he was elected from 2003 to 2007 as a civil member of the committee for social affairs and youth of the city of Barmstedt and from 2003 to 2006 also to the committee for equality, social affairs and health of the Pinneberg district. From 2005 to 2012, Bolln was the spokesman for the Environment Forum of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein and has been a member of the SPD's state board since 2005, and since 2013 as treasurer of the state association. In 2013, Bolln was also elected chairman of the local SPD association in Barmstedt.

Political electoral offices

Bolln ran for the state election in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 in the Steinburg-West state electoral district , but had to admit defeat to Hans-Jörn Arp by the CDU with 27.5% and did not enter the state parliament via the SPD state list. Only when Simone Lange , who had been elected mayor of Flensburg , left, did Bolln move up to the state parliament on November 7, 2016. There he was a member of the finance committee. In the state elections in 2017, he was again defeated by his competitor with 30.3% of the first votes and also did not move into parliament above 19th place on the SPD state list, so that he retired when the new state parliament met on June 6, 2017.
