Hans-Jörn Arp (born August 6, 1952 in Wacken ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein .

Since 2012 he has been the parliamentary manager of the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Life and work

As a graduate of the Tegernsee hotel management school , Arp took over the country inn Zur Post in Wacken from his parents in 1979 , which he passed on to his son Torsten in 2009. Since 1974 Arp has been a member of the supervisory board of today's Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Itzehoe , of which he was chairman of the supervisory board from 1988 to 2008.

Hans-Jörn Arp is married and has three children.

At the age of 16, Hans-Jörn Arp joined the Junge Union Deutschlands and in 1970 founded the Wacken JU local association . In 1972 he joined the CDU. Between 1978 and 1994 Arp was community representative in Wacken. From 1982 to 1994 he was both the finance committee chairman of the municipality of Wacken and the finance committee chairman in the official committee of the Schenefeld office .

From 2000 to 2012 he was the district chairman of the CDU district association Steinburg and has been treasurer of the CDU Schleswig-Holstein since 2006 .

Hans-Jörn Arp has been a member of the state parliament since the 15th electoral term. In the state elections in February 2000 , Arp was elected for the first time as a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament, where he became deputy chairman of the finance committee and was his parliamentary group's spokesman for tourism policy.

In the February 2005 election for the 16th electoral term, Arp was re-elected to the state parliament. Between 2005 and 2009 he was chairman of the economic committee, chairman of the parliamentary committee of inquiry HSH Nordbank and also the transport policy spokesman for the parliamentary group.

With his re-election to the state parliament in September 2009, he held the office of deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and deputy chairman of the economic committee. He retained his role as transport policy spokesman until the new elections in 2012.

From 2010 to 2012 Arp was the state government's representative for medium-sized businesses .

In May 2012 he was re-elected to the state parliament for the 18th electoral term. Since then he has been the parliamentary managing director of the CDU state parliamentary group.

In the 2017 state elections , Hans-Jörn Arp once again entered the state parliament with 45.8 percent of the first votes as a directly elected member of the Steinburg-West constituency for the 19th electoral term. He achieved the best result of all CDU direct candidates. After the election, Arp was confirmed as Parliamentary Managing Director, he is also currently the transport policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. Arp is also a deputy member of the Finance and Economic Committee.

Since 2009 he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the W: O: A Foundation .
