The CDU candidate Tobias Loose moved to the state parliament on June 29, 2017 for his party friend Ingbert Liebing , who had been appointed representative of the state of Schleswig-Holstein at the federal level. After 25 years as a member of parliament, the FDP candidate and former minister of education Ekkehard Klug only ran in the constituency and no longer on the state list and therefore left the state parliament.
