Bernd Voss

Bernd Voss (born June 28, 1954 in Wewelsfleth ) is a German farmer and politician. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party .

Voss graduated as a qualified engineer (agriculture) in 1976 and has been working as an independent farmer ever since. Since 2007 he has been a partner in Wilstermarsch Energie: dry biogas plant for green waste and solar energy .

Politics and volunteering

His political commitment began in 1973 with the citizens' initiative against the Brokdorf nuclear power plant . From 1975 to 1977 he was deputy chairman of the rural youth in Schleswig-Holstein, in 1980 he was a founding member of the Greens in the Steinburg district association and was active there, among other things, as district manager and board member. Since 2005 he has been the spokesman for the Green Federal and State Working Groups on Rural Development and Agriculture and since 2006 a member of the federal board of the Agrarbündnis eV

Electoral offices

From 1994 to 2003 he was a member of the Steinburger district assembly for the Greens , where he held the office of deputy district council from 1994 to 1998 and that of parliamentary group chairman from 1998 to 2003. From 2002 to 2006 he was a member of the Economic and Social Committee of the European Union .

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 , he moved into the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament via the state list of BÜNDNIS 90 / Die Grünen , where he became chairman of the European Committee. After his re-entry into the state parliament in the 2012 election , he lost his chairmanship, but remained a simple member of the European Committee and also became a member of the Agriculture Committee. In the 2017 election he was re-elected from the state list.
