Helmut Jacoby
Helmut Jacoby (born May 31, 1926 in Halle (Saale) ; † September 7, 2005 there ) was a German architect and one of the most famous architectural draftsmen of the 20th century.
Life
Helmut Jacoby studied architecture in Stuttgart and at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard . After graduating, Jacoby specialized in the creation of architectural drawings and graphics. He worked with architects such as Norman Foster , Frank Gehry , Philip Johnson , Ieoh Ming Pei , Helmut Jahn , Eero Saarinen , Ludwig Mies van der Rohe , Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer . Jacoby made in 1956 in Manhattan independently . Philip Johnson is considered to be its discoverer. He had a friendship of over 30 years with Norman Forster. In 1968 he returned to Germany and settled in Wiesbaden . After the reunification he moved to his hometown Halle (Saale).

Jacoby was married twice and had two children.
