Helmut Kraus (speed skater)

Helmut Kraus (born July 31, 1952 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German speed skater and speed skating trainer and was German champion in the great all-around competition in 1974 and 1975. From 1979 to 2015 he was national trainer or head trainer of the German national speed skating team and participated in a total of five Olympic Games (Lake Placid 80, Sarajevo 84, Nagano 98, Salt Lake City 02 and Turin 06). Today he lives in Unterföhring near Munich and dedicates himself as a volunteer to the promotion of young talent in various sports and the support and integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Unterföhring in the project integration through sport .
