Helmut Müller (born June 15, 1931 in Düren ; † November 22, 2012 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1982 to 1990 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

Helmut Müller graduated from grammar school with a secondary school leaving certificate. He then did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk with the conclusion of the clerk's examination. From 1953 to 1956 he studied at the Administration and Business Academy in Cologne. In 1960 he received special training as an office organizer. After that, Müller worked in several industrial companies. In 1963 he became self-employed as a sales clerk for office organization equipment and data processing accessories.

politics

Helmut Müller had been a member of the SPD since 1967. He acted as the deputy state chairman of the SPD working group for self-employed people (AGS). In 1972 he became a member of the local SPD association in Düren-Mitte and was its chairman from 1980 to 1983. He was a city councilor in Düren from 1969 to 1972 and again from 1975 to 1979.

Helmut Müller was a member of the 9th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from October 11, 1982 to May 29, 1985 , to which he moved. He was directly elected to the 10th Landtag (May 30, 1985 to May 30, 1990) for constituency 008 Düren II.
