Helmut Madl

Helmut Madl (born November 14, 1942 in Öblarn ) is an Austrian scholar of the Old Testament .

Madl received his doctorate in Catholic theology under Johannes Botterweck at the University of Bonn in 1974 and became a librarian at the seminary of the Graz-Seckau diocese . The Song of Songs was one of his main research interests .
