Helmut Nieter

Helmut Nieter (born August 13, 1930 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) is a German politician ( DBD , CDU ) and former member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament from 1990 to 1994.

biography

Helmut Nieter grew up in Berlin and attended school there until 1945. This was followed by an apprenticeship in agriculture. After obtaining his Abitur through a special maturity examination, he studied agricultural economics at the Bernburg University of Applied Sciences from 1955, graduating in 1960. After working in administration, he took over the chairmanship of an agricultural company in 1980. In 1987 he received his doctorate from the University of Rostock with a thesis on " Serradella - new cultivation methods and recommendations for seed production ".

politics

Nieter joined the DBD in 1950, of which he was state chairman for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990, before the DBD was transferred to the CDU. He belonged to the district council of the Schwerin-Land district from 1990 as its president and to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from 1990 to 1994.
