After attending the higher technical college in Innsbruck , Nindl studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , where he obtained his diploma in 1983. From 1979 he works as a freelance artist / sculptor. At the same time he worked in the field of monument preservation and restored stucco and historical stone objects.

Nindl lives and works in Kramsach . In addition to his freelance work, he has been teaching glass and chemistry at the HTL Kramsach (formerly Kramsach Glass School ) since 1983 . For 20 years he founded, organized and directed the Kramsach Art Days (workshops, seminars and art discussions in the workshops of the HTL Kramsach - Glass School). With the 20th anniversary celebration in 2016, this initiative was temporarily ended.

As a classically trained sculptor, Nindl initially worked with the traditional sculptural materials stone, wood, metal and concrete. In the work Glaskubus Rattenberg (1997) he first used glass (especially float glass ), later also Plexiglas and additionally LED light. These materials are of particular importance to the artist because of their transparency and complexity. With his work, Nindl stands in the tradition of abstract and concrete art; his work since the 1990s has been “shaped by the examination of issues of spatial organization”.
