Helmut Siekmann
Helmut Siekmann (born November 27, 1947 in Velbert ) is a German constitutional lawyer and economist .
Life
At the same time as studying law at the University of Cologne , he studied economics with a degree in economics. His doctorate took place in 1982. This was followed by a call to a chair for constitutional law at the Ruhr University Bochum . In 2000 Siekmann was dean of the law faculty. Since 2006 he has held the only European chair for central bank law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability . Siekmann holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Paris-Dauphine .
