Helmut Strnad

Helmut Frithjof Strnad (* 30th June 1930 in Prague , † 2002 ) was a German engineer for engineering and professor in Wuppertal .

Strnad studied mechanical engineering with a degree in engineering and received his doctorate in 1963 at the Technical University of Darmstadt with a study on "The control of industrial production from a cybernetic perspective". From 1969 to 1977 he was a full professor at RWTH Aachen University and from 1969 to 1974 director and executive board member of the Technical Academy Wuppertal . From 1977 to 1995 he taught as a professor of mechanical engineering in the field of construction at the University of Wuppertal . He also worked as an expert and expert for machines for metalworking and metal processing, assembly equipment and machine controls.

From 1970 to 1977 Strnad was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .
