Helmuth Gsöllpointner (* 1933 in Vorderweissenbach ) is an Austrian sculptor, object artist and designer.

Gsöllpointner founded the metal sculpture department in the training workshops of VOEST Alpine AG in Linz in 1955 and headed it until 1985. From 1973 he was head of the metal master class at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz and from 1977 to 1981 rector of the Art University and industrial design, today Linz Art University and retired in 2001.

As a medalist, Gsöllpointner created some obverse sides of Austrian 100 Schilling coins from 1974 to 1978. Signature: "GSÖLL".

Gsöllpointner has designed and directed various exhibitions since 1971, such as Forum Metall (1977), Forum Design (1979), Schmuck --zeichen am Körper (1987), Netz Europa (1994), thereby establishing Linz as a cultural city also in the field of visual arts.

From 1971 to 1976 Gsöllpointner was president of the artists' association MAERZ in Linz. In 2001 Gsöllpointner was elected chairman of the newly established city culture council of the city of Linz.
