Hemimastigophora

Hemimastigophora is a group of living things that belongs to the eukaryotes (Eukaryota). It was established in 1988 by Ilse Foissner and Wilhelm Foissner, both University of Salzburg .
The only known family Spironemidae (order Hemimastigida) has four genera with ten species. Hemimastix kukwesjijk was first described in 2018.
