The Dolmen Hemmelmark 2 and 3 are located with 11 other, mostly badly damaged megalithic structures of the funnel cup culture (TBK), at Gut Hemmelmark , northeast of Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein . They have the Sprockhoff numbers 81 and 82 and were made between 3500 and 2800 BC. Chr.

Hemmelmark II (Sprockhoff No. 81)

The almost complete, but overgrown megalithic bed measures around 44 by 7 meters. At least 66 (maybe all) curb stones have been preserved, but mostly buried by erosion. The transverse chamber of the rectangular dolmen is inaccessible. The capstone, split in half, is repaired. Apart from the south-eastern bearing stone, the chamber has been preserved.

Prince Heinrich , the brother of the last German emperor, built his mausoleum here on the large stone grave and is buried there. The old stones can be found under the mausoleum.

Hemmelmark III (Sprockhoff No. 82)

Hemmelmark III is about 4 meters away from Hemmelmark II and is a somewhat abnormal, since access-free rectangular column with a pentagonal chamber, however, which is not right-angled but is slightly angled on one side and covered by two cap stones. All 6 closely spaced supporting stones have been preserved. A quarter was divided up by means of several vertical slabs , which took up about 40% of the paved chamber floorboard. Half of the chamber is filled with earth, but a gap between the supporting stones and cap stones allows a view of the interior in the north.
