Hemony
Hemony is the name of a Dutch bell foundry family .
François and Pieter Hemony
François (* 1609 in Levécourt ; † 1667 in Amsterdam ) and Pieter (Pierre) (* 1619 in Levécourt; † 1680 in Amsterdam), refugees from Lorraine , ran a foundry in Zutphen from around 1640 to 1657 . They cast a total of about 50 carillons ( carillons , Dutch beiaarden ) of the highest quality, of which about half are wholly or partially preserved.
