Henri-André Laperriere
Henri-André Laperrière (born June 12, 1925 in Montréal , Québec , † March 8, 2015 ibid) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Henri-André Laperrière began his career as a hockey player with the Verdun Terriers, for which he was active in the Quebec Junior Hockey League in the 1944/45 season. He then played for six years for the University of Montreal Carabins, where he ended his career in 1950. In 1948 he also represented Canada as a guest player with the RCAF Flyers at the Winter Olympics. In order to play for the military team, he was accepted as a private in the Royal Canadian Air Force .
International
For Canada , Laperrière took part in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , where he and his team won the gold medal. In eight games he scored one goal and one assist.
