Henri Aldebert

Henri Aldebert (born August 8, 1880 in Paris ; † April 24, 1961 there ) was a French winter sports enthusiast ( bobsleigh and curling ), an official and Olympic participant from 1924.

Together with André Berg , Georges André and Jean Marquis de Suarez d'Aulan , Henri Aldebert took 4th place in the France I bobsleigh at the I Olympic Winter Games in Chamonix in 1924 . When the FIBT was founded in Paris on November 23, 1923 , Henri Aldebert was one of the founders.

As a curling player, he took third place with the French team in the same games. In 2006, the IOC recognized the curling competitions as an official part of the Winter Games and posthumously awarded Henri Aldebert the bronze medal. Until then, the said curling tournament was considered a demonstration competition .
