Henriette Garthe , from 1873 Henriette Waldschmidt (born February 25, 1841 in Cologne , † October 9, 1921 in Wiesbaden ) was a German opera singer (soprano).

Garthe had her voice trained with the singing teacher Manuel García in London . At the age of 17 she made her stage debut at the Hoftheater Coburg in a production by Tannhäuser in the role of Elisabeth. Three years later she moved to the Hoftheater Hannover . Other leading roles followed, especially in the operas of Giacomo Meyerbeer .

After her marriage to Rittmeister Eduard Waldschmidt in 1873, she largely withdrew from the stage and only performed in concerts.
