Henriette Ulrike Ottilie von Pogwisch

Henriette Ulrike Ottilie von Pogwisch (born October 15, 1776 in Potsdam , † June 15, 1851 in Weimar ) was the founder of a French reading society and a German reading society . Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was also a guest in her literary circles . These literary circles existed for about two decades.

Her father was Lieutenant General and Governor of Königsberg Viktor Amadeus Henckel von Donnersmarck (1727–1793). Her mother was the Chief Chamberlain Eleonore Maximiliane Ottilie Henckel von Donnersmarck . She was married to the Prussian officer Julius von Pogwisch (* July 30, 1760 - December 7, 1836) since February 5, 1796, from whom she separated in 1802. The daughters Ottilie (1796–1872) and Ulrike von Pogwisch (1798–1875) came from this marriage .
