Henry Callaway
Henry Callaway (born January 17, 1817 in Lymington (either Hampshire or Somerset ), † March 26, 1890 in Ottery Saint Mary ) was a British missionary of the Church of England and from 1873 to 1876 Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of St. John's , Kaffraria , in Cape Colony , Natal , South Africa , which belongs to the Church of the Province of Southern Africa (now the Anglican Church of Southern Africa ). His main work describes the religious system of the Amazulu ( Zulu ), an African ethnic group of the Bantu. Callaway was a leading authority on the Zulu religion.
