Henry Hensche

Henry Hensche (born February 25, 1899 in Germany, † December 10, 1992 in Gray (Louisiana) , USA ) was an American painter.

He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and from 1927 taught together with Charles Hawthorne at his own school for Impressionist landscape painting , the Cape Cod School of Art . After Hawthorne's death in 1930, Hensche founded his own school with the same name. His teaching focused on an intense color perception in the sense of the Impressionists . Hensche mainly painted landscapes and still lifes .
