Henry Barber Richardson (born May 19, 1889 in Boston , † November 19, 1963 in New York ) was an American archer. He was the first archer to win two medals at two different Olympic Games, namely the bronze medal at the 1904 St. Louis Games and 1908 in London. In 1904, at the age of 15 years and 124 days, he was the tournament's youngest medalist.
Olympia 1904
Richardson's first medal was the bronze medal at the 1904 St. Louis, Missouri Olympic Games, which he won at the age of 15. As a member of the Boston Archers Association , he took part in the Team American Round team competition. He also took part in the individual competition Double York Round , but ultimately only finished ninth and tenth in the double American round
Olympia 1908
Four years later he took part again in the Olympic Games and won his second bronze medal. He was the first archer to win two medals at two different Olympics. In the double York round , he only finished fifth after the first round, but was able to catch up in the second round. With the best tournament performance in the competition, he reached third place and won the medal.
He also took part in the Continental style competition, but only came in fifteenth.
