Gerd Harder

Gerd Harder (* 1947 ) was President of the Hamburg Constitutional Court .

In the judicial service since 1976, he was initially a judge at the local court. In 1991 he was appointed judge at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court and in 2001 chairman of the 2nd criminal senate. In 2003 he was first elected Vice President and in 2007 finally President of the Hamburg Constitutional Court. He retired on March 31, 2012. Harder is a member of the CDU .
