Henry Schoenfeld

Henry Schoenfeld (born October 4, 1857 in Milwaukee , † August 4, 1936 in Los Angeles ) was an American composer.

Schoenfeld studied at the Weimar Conservatory . From 1879 he lived in Chicago, where he directed a mixed choir from 1891 to 1902. From 1904 he lived as a choir conductor and director of the Woman's Symphony Orchestra in Los Angeles.

He composed two operas , a rural symphony , a suite of strings on Indian themes, two Indian legends and numerous piano works.
