Henryk Gericke

Henryk Gericke (* 1964 in East Berlin ) is a German writer and gallery owner .

Life

After completing his apprenticeship as a bookbinder, Gericke worked as a printer in Progress Film-Verleih from 1983 to 1986 and in the office for art-related architecture from 1986 to 1989 . Since 1984 he has been the author and publisher of independent editions and has published articles in self-published magazines ( Ariadnefabrik , Einsatz , schlag , Liane, etc.). In 1990 he was one of the founders and partners of the Druckhaus Galrev publishing house , which he left in 1993. Gericke has been a freelance writer since 1993. In 2004 he received the Alfred Döblin scholarship from the Berlin Academy of the Arts . In 2006 he wrote the screenplay for the movie ostpunk - too much future . In 2010 he opened the Staatsgalerie Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin. Together with Thomas Gust he runs the art cell identity shop .
