Herbert A. Zwergel

Herbert A. Zwergel (* 1943 in Lower Franconia ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school in Offenbach am Main in 1964 , he studied at the Goethe University to teach elementary, secondary and secondary schools with the subjects of Catholic religion, didactics , mathematics and physics, and in 1967 passed the first state examination and the second degree in philosophy of religion , psychology and moral theology . After receiving his doctorate in 1971 as Dr. phil.he was the administrator of an assistant position, then worked as an assistant and lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies in the Catholic Theology Department at Goethe University. In 1980 he was appointed professor for religious education in the field of education / human sciences at the University of Kassel . In 2009 he retired.

His work focuses on teacher training: dealing with communication disorders and aggression, collegial advice. He was the editor of the religious pedagogical contributions and from 2004 to 2008 chairman of the scientific association, Working Group on Catholic Religious Education and Catechetics (AKRK).
