Herbert Becker (born January 4, 1937 in Mörfelden-Walldorf ) was mayor of the small community of Zeppelinheim from 1964 as an SPD party member , the youngest mayor of the Federal Republic at the time. In 1972 he was brought to Neu-Isenburg as the first city councilor by the then mayor Ludwig Arnoul , which in 1977 incorporated the small community of Zeppelinheim, at that time the richest community in Hesse after Rüsselsheim and Eschborn . At the same time he was chairman of the aircraft noise commission or its predecessor institution from 1969 to 1978.

In 1978, Erich Becker, the long-standing CEO of the Frankfurt Airport Company , appointed him to the Board of Management representative of Fraport AG for external contacts with responsibility a. a. for aircraft noise management. Until his retirement in 2004, he was responsible for Fraport at this point. He was a football enthusiast early on and played in the TuS Zeppelinheim regional class. He has been a member of Eintracht Frankfurt since 1996 .

He was followed for a short time by Jürgen Neppe , who was replaced in 2003 by Herbert Becker, representative of the main sponsor Fraport. Until June 30, 2010, the shareholders of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG, Eintracht Frankfurt eV and the Friends of Eintracht GmbH elected him again as chairman of the supervisory board at an ordinary general meeting of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG .

In this position, he hired Heribert Bruchhagen as CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG in 2003, who will take on this function from December 1, 2003.
