Herbert Dörr
Herbert Dörr (* June 1924 ; † July 2002 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German architect .
Life
He was the son of Wilhelm Ernst Dörr (1882–1954). After graduating from high school in 1943, he studied architecture until 1947 after the end of the Second World War. From 1950 he worked as a freelance architect in Freiburg. Dörr had been married to Barbara Schelenz, the daughter of the sculptor Walter Schelenz , since 1954 . Together with Klaus Gottschall, he developed the plans for the Church of the Resurrection in Freiburg , which was built in 1961/1962. He was also the planner of the Reconciliation Church in Marbach in 1970. In 1975 he received the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg . In 1978 the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law was created according to his plans . He retired at the end of the 1980s. He died in Freiburg in 2002.

- In 1978, based on his plans, the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law was established , for which he was awarded the Concrete Architecture Prize in 1981 .
