Herbert Drews

Herbert Drews (born February 16, 1907 , † January 19, 1949 ) was a German motorcycle racer .

Herbert Drews was active in both track and road races from 1924 . In 1938 he took part in the European motorcycle championship and finished sixth in the quarter liter class at the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring in Hohenstein-Ernstthal .

Shortly before his 25th anniversary in racing, he had a serious accident on January 9, 1949 on a dirt track, the Hamburg Langenfort-Bahn, and died ten days later, on January 19, at the age of 42.
