Herbert Fischerauer

Herbert Fischerauer (* 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian singer, actor and cultural manager .

Life

He received his artistic training at the Vienna Mozart Boys' Choir, at the University for Solo Singing and Performing Arts in Vienna and at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna , where he passed the state matriculation examination.

He had engagements as a tenor buffo , singer and actor in Austria, Germany and Switzerland as well as guest appearances in Belgium and Japan. He is the founder, chairman and since 1996 managing director of the association "Art on Wheels" . The social-charitable association has so far organized around 1,600 concerts for the older generation, including staging of revues, show programs and gala concerts. In 1999 and 2000 he was director of the Upper Austrian cultural summer in Windischgarsten.

Since 2000 he has been chairman of the Heinrich Strecker Society in Baden. He is the organizer and artistic director of the International Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition for Opera, Operetta, Musical and Wienerlied - Cross Over Competition, which has been taking place since 2001. The world premiere of Heinrich Strecker's operetta “Honeymoon” in Baden took place in June 2002 under the direction and with a new version of the text by Herbert Fischerauer. He directed the first own event of the Baden Cultural Office, the musical production " The musical canopy bed" in April 2004. In 2006 he became artistic director / coordinator of the Kaiserball / Le Grand Bal / Hofburg Silvesterball in the Vienna Hofburg . Herbert Fischerauer has also been the artistic director of the Ball Royale of the city of Baden since 2013.
