Herbert Frohberg

Herbert Frohberg (born July 17, 1909 in Nowawes , † after 1945) was a German film architect .

Life

Frohberg completed a degree in architecture , which he completed with the degree of a graduate engineer. He then found a job as an assistant architect at UFA , where he helped his respected colleagues Robert Herlth , Walter Röhrig and Erich Kettelhut on films such as Yorck (1931), Mensch ohne Namen (1932), Schwarze Rosen (1935) and Schlußakkord (1936) .

In 1937 Herbert Frohberg made his debut under the patronage of Kettelhut as the second architect, from 1939 to 1945 he held the position of chief scene designer. In 1943/44, Frohberg was also the second architect to assist his colleagues Karl Machus and Erich Zander in the production of the extensive film structures for the UFA large-scale production in Kolberg . At the end of the war in 1945, Frohberg's trail is lost.
