Herbert Kulik

Herbert Kulik is a former German basketball player and official.

Life

Kulik worked as a basketball player, trainer and official in East Berlin , including at HSG Wissenschaft Karlshorst, which had its basketball department from 1952. He played at the HSG Wissenschaft HU Berlin, won several championships with it in the German Democratic Republic and competed with the team at the end of the 1950s and in the 1960s in the European Champions Cup .

Kulik was the captain of the GDR national team and is the country's record player with 154 appearances. He played his 150th international match in October 1966. Kulik took part in the European Championships in 1959, 1961, 1963, 1965 and 1967.

In 1990 he worked as a member of the board of the GDR basketball association in the transition of the DBV to the German Basketball Federation .
