Herbert Masuch

Herbert Masuch (born December 26, 1929 in Fürstenwalde, East Prussia ) is a German evangelist , author, poet and singer of evangelical songs. He was a city missionary and lives (2009) in Scheeßel, Lower Saxony .

Life

Herbert Masuch studied from 1954 to 1958 at the St. Chrischona Theological Seminary . He then worked for the Essen City Mission and in 1963 switched to the German Tent Mission as an evangelist , where he worked for around 30 years - often with his wife Gretel - at home and abroad. He is responsible for christus-portal.de.

In the 1990s he tried to build bridges between pietists and charismatics . For several years he was chairman of the WG for Church Bible Teaching (GBU). As a member of the Christian faithful party (PBC), he was chairman of its federal arbitration tribunal. He has been married to his wife Gretel since 1964. The couple has three children.
