Herbert Steinböck (born February 13, 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and actor .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1976, Herbert Steinböck studied German and history at the University of Vienna . He completed his studies in 1983 with a master's degree . Between 1983 and 1993 Steinböck taught at various grammar schools in Vienna. In 1987 he graduated from the drama school of the Vienna Volkstheater .

From the end of 1992 to 2004 Steinböck performed together with Gerold Rudle in the duo Steinböck & Rudle . In 2003 he had his own comedy show (“Montagskipferl”), which ran weekly on Premiere Austria .

From autumn 2004 he was the successor to Michael Niavarani conférencier in the cabaret Simpl .

From 2006 he was seen with his first solo program “Steinbock's Bananensplitter”, in 2010 the second solo program “Steinbock's Bonanza” followed.

In 2007 there was a da capo for an ORF impromptu classic. On December 18, 1993, the last mouth fell for Die liebe Familie . 14 years later, the next generation of Lafites returns to the screens. The improv comedy show with Herbert Steinböck as section head Herbert Lafite was on the program until the end of August 2007.

Since 2011 he has been on stage with Thomas M. Strobl, the first joint program was called Tralala . The second program, Aramsamsam, premiered in 2015.

Steinböck is divorced and has a daughter.
