Herbert Lawrence Block

Herbert Lawrence Block (pseudonym Herblock ) (born October 13, 1909 in Chicago , † October 7, 2001 in Washington, DC ), was an American political cartoonist who worked for the Washington Post for over 50 years . The three-time Pulitzer Prize winner for editorial cartooning had been a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1959 . He received on August 8, 1994 the Medal of Freedom ("The Presidential Medal of Freedom ").
