Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane) ( Here comes Santa Claus ) is an American Christmas song by Gene Autry and Oakley Haldeman from the year 1947th

The song describes the scenery of the arrival of Father Christmas ( Santa Claus ) in his reindeer - sleigh on Earth. The vixen and lightning bolts mentioned therein are names of reindeer that pull the sleigh.

Gene Autry was able to place himself in the C&W charts for the first time at Christmas 1947 and reached number 5, in the following year the title reached number 4 and in 1949 number 13 in the C&W bestseller charts . The title also made it to the Billboard charts from 1947 to 1949: in 1947 at number 9, in 1948 at number 8 and in 1949 at number 24.
