Hergolshausen musicians
The Hergolshausen Musikanten are a Franconian - Bavarian music association.
history
The Hergolshausen musicians were founded in 1973 as a village music association in Hergolshausen , Lower Franconia , a district of the Waigolshausen community in the Schweinfurt district . After the first music rehearsals were held independently, often by the later honorary board member Heinrich Kremling, the association decided to hire a professional musician from the GDR , Georg Frick, for the position of conductor. Under his leadership, the Hergolshausen Music Association succeeded in introducing young people to music. In October 1981, the 19-year-old took over Rudi Fischer charge of the chapel. Under his direction the formation of the singing duo Renate and Rudi began and the name was changed to Hergolshausen Musikanten .
The wind band undertook two tours through South Africa and Namibia as well as appearances abroad and appearances on radio and television. As a highlight of each season, the musicians organize an annual Bohemian Open Air in the Werneck Castle Park .
The youth orchestra Die Junge Hergolshäuser was founded in 2008 to promote the next generation .
