Heribert Heinrich (born September 30, 1951 in Koblenz ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After completing secondary school, Heinrich completed a commercial training and worked at the Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement . In 1992 he became union secretary of the DGB district in Koblenz. Heinrich is married and has two children.

politics

Heinrich joined the SPD in 1969. In 1983 he became a member of the city ​​council of Koblenz, where he was parliamentary group chairman from 1999 to 2004. He has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1999 . There he represents constituency 9 ( Koblenz ) and is media policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. Heinrich has been state chairman of the working group for employee issues since 2002 .

Honor

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate honored him with the award of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque in 2004 .
