Heribert Heinrichs

Heribert Heinrichs (born August 4, 1922 in Wassenberg ; † September 21, 2004 in Hildesheim ) was a German educator and media scientist and worked at what is now the University of Hildesheim from 1958 until his retirement in 1987 . He was a holder of the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and an honorary citizen of his hometown Wassenberg. Heinrichs held the first professorship for media education in Germany and was also known as the "father of German school television".
