Herman H. Schwedt
Herman H. Schwedt (born February 1, 1935 in Aachen ) is a German church historian.
With a thesis on Georg Hermes Schwedt 1976 doctorate at the Gregorian University in Rome to Dr. theol. From 1967 to 1977 he was a research assistant at the Vatican. From 1978 to 1999 he was director of the diocesan archive and the diocesan library of the Limburg diocese . Schwedt is an expert on the Roman Inquisition and the Index Congregation . Since 2014 he has been a member of the Roman Institute of the Goerres Society .
Schwedt wrote numerous articles in the Biographical-Bibliographical Church Lexicon (BBKL).
