Hermann-Michael Hahn

Hermann-Michael Hahn (* 1948 ) is a German physicist , astronomer and science journalist .

Life

Hermann-Michael Hahn studied physics and astronomy in Bonn. Since 1976 he has been working as a freelance science journalist a. a. for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Deutschlandfunk. Hahn published numerous star maps and books on topics related to astronomy.

Awards

In 2005 he received the Hugo Junkers Prize from the German aerospace press for his book “Outer Space - The Cosmos Image Atlas of the Solar System”.

In 2012, the Astronomical Society awarded him the Bruno H. Bürgel Prize for his wide range of activities, primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge of astronomy and space travel to a wide audience .
