Hermann Allmayer

Hermann Martin Johann Allmayer (born March 24, 1900 in Feldkirchen in Carinthia ; † August 6, 1977 in Klagenfurt ) was a Carinthian journalist, mainly for organs of the NSDAP and SPÖ .

Life

Allmayer was editor or editor at the Alpenländische Rundschau from 1932 to 1945, and from 1940 as chief editor . In 1938 he joined the NSDAP. In the same year he was temporarily deputy chief editor at the Kärntner Tagblatt . From 1938 to 1945 he was editor of the Kärntner Grenzruf (from 1942 Kärntner Zeitung ), from 1943 as chief editor . In 1942 he was the chief editor of the Karawankenbote for a short time .

After the surrender, he was editor of the Kärntner Nachrichten , a newspaper of the British occupation forces, for a few months before he switched to the SPÖ organ Neue Zeit (later KTZ ), where he was deputy editor-in-chief until 1966.
