Hermann Fehr (politician, 1909)

Hermann Fehr (born June 23, 1909 in Rheinklingen , † April 27, 1992 in Tägerwilen ) was a Swiss politician ( SP )

life and work

Fehr completed a commercial apprenticeship in a trading house and after the subsequent recruiting school , he joined the federal customs administration of the Basel district in 1934 , where he last worked as a customs officer. In 1937 he married Klara, née Güdel. Her son is Hermann Willi Fehr .

From 1948 Fehr worked as a community clerk and tax secretary and from 1961 to 1975 as the mayor for the SP in Ermatingen . As such, he was an ex officio member of the municipal council. For eight years he was also a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Thurgau .

In 1988 Fehr received the honorary citizenship of Ermatingen.
