Hermann Franck (politician)

Hermann Franck (born December 26, 1908 in Hamburg , † October 20, 1992 ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

After attending elementary school and a commercial training school, Franck completed an apprenticeship in a Hamburg seaport shipping company from 1923 to 1926. He was then a travel agent there until 1940 and finally a department head. After the war he was a member of the district executive committee of the workers' welfare organization.

Political party

Franck joined the SPD in 1929. Until the ban in 1933 he was youth leader with the falcons .

MP

Franck was a member of the district council in the Duchy of Lauenburg from 1946 to 1955.

From 1954 to 1967 he was a member of the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein , where he represented the constituency of Lauenburg-Süd . From 1958 to 1967 he was deputy chairman of the youth affairs committee.

Public offices

Franck was mayor of Mölln from 1950 to 1962 and then of Lauenburg / Elbe .
