Hermann Heßl

Hermann Heßl (born April 30, 1938 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1974 to 1979 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After compulsory school, Heßl graduated from the commercial vocational school in Wiener Neustadt and worked as a hardware retailer. He attended advanced training courses of the ÖGB , became an employee and finally worked as the district secretary of the SPÖ Wiener Neustadt. Politically, he had already been involved as a member of the Socialist Youth and the Union Youth, in 1963 he became the section chairman of the SPÖ Wiener Neustadt. In addition, he was elected to the municipal council of Wiener Neustadt in 1965 and served there as a councilor between 1968 and 1975. He represented the SPÖ between January 22, 1974 and February 1, 1979 in the National Council.
