Hermann Hildebrand (politician, 1919)

Hermann Hildebrand (born December 30, 1919 in Carolinensiel , † May 18, 1986 in Aurich ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After completing school, he began his apprenticeship in administration. Later he was an active soldier and received training as a pilot during the Second World War . In 1943 he was shot down as a fighter pilot in Africa and seriously wounded in the crash. After the war, he had been employed in administrative work at the rural health insurance fund of the Aurich district since July 1945. Here he also passed his administrative examinations and was employed as a tax auditor and department head. Hildebrand was elected chairman of the East Frisian fire extinguishing cost compensation and was a member of the association assembly of the East Frisian landscape as well as the association assembly of the Oldenburg-East Frisian water association. He was also a member of the advisory board of Freizeit GmbH in Aurich and the advisory board of Kreisbahn GmbH, also in Aurich.

Public offices

Hildebrand has been active in local politics since 1952 and was elected a member of the Walle community council from 1952 to 1972 . Between 1964 and 1972 he was mayor of Walle and then became the first deputy mayor of the city of Aurich . Hildebrand had been an elected member of the district council of the Aurich district since 1964 and became district administrator in 1968. Hildebrand was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament during the sixth to the eighth electoral period from June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1978. Here he was also chairman of the committee for internal administration from March 21, 1978 to June 20, 1978.
