Hermann Klein (born September 11, 1904 in Lorch , † after 1964) was a German railway official. In 1964 he became President of the Mainz Federal Railway Directorate .

Hermann Klein was born the son of a post office clerk in Lorch. He studied at the Technical Universities of Darmstadt and Berlin Civil Engineering and the University of Berlin law . At the Technical University of Gdańsk he passed the diploma exam and an additional exam in administrative sciences , finance and social sciences .

In 1934 he began his professional career with the Deutsche Reichsbahn . At the Deutsche Bundesbahn , he worked in the Karlsruhe Federal Railway Directorate from 1954 , and since 1956 as a department president. On July 1, 1964, he became President of the Mainz Federal Railway Directorate, succeeding Theodor Acker .
